Gameplay Overview
Athena is a zoning character. She can annoy her opponents with a variety of projectiles from afar, but she has some tricks up her sleeve even when they manage to get close, such as a DP and a command grab. She also has a projectile reflect to use against characters who try to zone her out.
Due to the nature of her gameplan, she doesn't really need meter to win. Therefore, she can function anywhere in the team.
Athena is a perfect character for players who prefer zoning and nice combos. |
Pros |
Cons |
- One of the best zoning in the game
- Good range on certain moves
- Has access to some other stuff, like a reflect, a command grab and a DP
|
- Can't really do big combos without meter or corner
- Poor range on her Blowback and Shatter Strike
